BR 21ton rebuilt mineral wagons - 1 door renumbered B290xxx MDO

Also between 1977 and 1979 some 459 mineral wagons were produced using frames from 21 and 24.5ton minerals and similar hoppers. Thus underframes differed. All received heavy duty 10 leaf springs, the intention apparently that they could carry 25tonnes, but they were not branded as such (nor as MEO). Renumbered, with just three vacuum braked - one illustrated here.
